Welcome to Trisha Waddell, who joined the ISD staff June 29 as middle school and high school principal.
Waddell was most recently principal at Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, Tucson Campus. In addition to supervising staff and teachers, she was responsible for day-to-day operations for both the school and residential program.
She earned her master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in K-12 Education, Track: Special Education and Deaf Education from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD.
Waddell is originally from Kansas. “I’m thrilled to be back in the Midwest with my partner, two dogs, two cats and two red-eared slider turtles,” she said. She is an avid reader who enjoys walks and hikes with her partner and dogs.
